The pro-democracy business group Leadership Now is calling for President Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, saying they fear former President Trump could take back the White House after Biden's "deeply concerning" debate performance last week.
Texas Rep. Lloyd Doggett became the first elected Democrat to join Republicans in calling for Biden to withdraw from the presidential race on Tuesday. The same day, businessman and Forward Party leader Andrew Yang, who endorsed Biden in 2020, said the president should now drop out "for the good of the country.
