However, the impact of the weather associated with Storm Ashley this morning means that the event today had to be cancelled at the eleventh hourA spokesperson for Hoghton Tower said: “Due to the extremely strong winds and despite all contingency planning, we have had to make the sad decision to cancel the market at Hoghton Tower today.
Weather is expected to stay windy and wet until around midday today .
