Twitter's board of directors was dissolved following Elon Musk's takeover of the company, according to a securities filing.

Twitter’s board of directors was dissolved on Thursday following Elon Musk’s takeover of the company, according to a securities filing on Monday. The company filing states that all previous members of Twitter’s board, including recently ousted CEO Parag Agrawal and chairman Bret Taylor, are no longer directors “in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement.” Musk, according to the filing, became “the sole director of Twitter.

Almost immediately after Musk completed his $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter on Thursday, Musk terminated at least four of its top executives, including Agrawal. The new Twitter owner plans to rethink the company’s content moderation policies and permanent bans for users who previously violated the platform’s policies, including former President Donald Trump, although he said over the weekend that no major decisions have been made yet.

What is the problem with that? He is owner and this is his decision.

Leadership sets the tone, so remove the leadership. Those working for the prior leadership that will not comply with the new leadership can find the door too.

Excellent!

DOUCHEBAG

They forced him to buy it. So why is everyone complaining now?

delusions not just of grandeur, but godhood. how terribly sad!

What? He fired White people?! Damn. Everyone of us else better whatcha our backs!

OK. Now it is time for Mr Musk like Mr Trump to understand that the Public and not Shareholders are more difficult to control! BBCNews CBCNews

Woo-hoo

He said he was taking it private. What did you think would happen?

brooklynmarie …in acid, or…?

Uh... Yeah. That's why he bought it. Duh.

This is why he did it. Twitter was laced with liberal activist teaming up with the democrat ran dhs.

Cool, almost like that was part of the buyout as well as their payout. 😂😂😂😂

Musk is draining the swamp.

Elon and his 9/11 partners just want some Free Speech.

to bad CNN doesn’t move as fast as Elon, our country would be much better with truthful media and CNN ids the worst as of 10/31/22!!

Saint Elon Musk forgive our sins.

In no time it will be as valuable as Truth Social. 😂

That's a good phase one move. It's a rebuild season.

🇺🇲💯

It’s a great great day

Normal

The Screaming Lady always gets louder just before it stops forever.

elonmusk If you are looking for a new Board of Directors, I am willing to work for Twitter for free.

Who needs a board of directors when you have a dictator. 🙄👎🏼

So sad for those fat cats.

Well obviously he would dissolve them since it’s now a private company…

Twitter will be shut down soon. Once people leave.

Got into $44B debt just to ruin whatever he got on lease. 😂😂😂

Wonderful. Man be bringing his own crew. His own cabinet. elonmusk will make a good politician. elonmusk for president

Why wouldn't he. It was those people who had created the narrative under which Twitter worked. If he was looking to change that he would start with changing the overseeing structure of the company.

I just read that Musk is the CEO of Twitter but prefers to be calls Chief Twit. How appropriate.

No doubt Elon will have twitter operating in a fair and efficient manner soon. This is only the beginning….

Twitters extremely rich board of directors

So glad constitutional law and freedom of speech are making a comeback in social media. I bet that terrifies the established media.

FREE SPEECH.. scares the left... but most of them CANT DEBATE so they whine and call people names.

This is all getting rather boring … I feel it’s the gilded age

Now do CNN+

So is it no longer publicly traded?

Good. Let’s get some sanity in here.

Musketeers assemble

Twitter founder Jack Dorsey apologizes after Elon Musk lays off staff | CNN BusinessTwitter's founder Jack Dorsey apologized for growing the company too quickly after Elon Musk laid off thousands of employees. CNN! (Shaking head) - have you not been paying attention over the last few years? Elon has been telling us what he envisioned for a better Platform/Twitter for a while now. Seems most Big News can focus on is a miss understood short visioned ‘now’. It's like Elon Musk buys a garage and fires all its mechanics. Let this sink in, no one is gonna take their car that needs repairing to a garage with no mechanics. And the quality of staff was just awful. Rest days? Lattes? Weirdoes?
