Why on earth should the miners get guaranteed job protection? Nobody else does when a business is sold or shut down.

I don't see the point of asking for a guarantee from BHP. Their selling the mines FFS. In saying that, any buyer would be crazy not to employ the good experienced staff anyway. Emphasis on good. 🤔
