It’s never been easy to operate a restaurant, and in recent years it’s been even harder

. In 2020, Covid restrictions ground the nation’s bustling restaurant industry to a halt. Since then, there have been significant signs of a rebound: Dining rooms have reopened and customers have returned to cafes, fine-dining establishments and fast food joints. But there are fewer US restaurants today than in 2019. It’s not clear when —if ever — they’re coming back.

“Closing a restaurant is an incredibly difficult decision to make,” Jacobs said. “We did our best during the pandemic to try and keep our teams together … at some point, you just gotta call it.” The rise of takeout and delivery during the pandemic helped multiple restaurants survive the pandemic. DanDan, a Chinese American restaurant, had offered takeout for years. The restaurant “had that customer confidence that we were going to deliver quality products,” he said.

Honestly I use waste so much money going out eat every day now it’s been a year since I went out and I do not miss it

Agreed

And CNN, the extremist activist propagandists for leftist tyrants pushed for this to happen.

Pretty hard to run a business when your democrat leaders force your doors shut for months on end, force anyone who works/comes to the restaurant to get an experimental drug injected in them… Yeah, it’s been tough and the reason easily identifiable.

Covid did not do it. The ridiculous lockdowns dud it.

That's because no one cares. Mime is doing great...actually, sales are up from the last 6 years.

The WEF and fake covid shrunk the restaurant biz.

Because of the epidemic, the catering industry has been hit unprecedentedly.

That doctor y’all have on often, Leana Wen, said there’s nothing to worry about.

Biden handling of COVID providing false information is still hurting the US as covid is still taking lives over 1million and that doesn't account for citizens who are suffering long effects of covid prevent them from working .

Democrats are the reason why. Remember when they closed restaurants and stores but allowed walmart and big box stores to stay open. Don't forget who still wants covid closures

Yeaaaa that’s why when it comes to lockdowns… NEVER AGAIN.

We’re done with covid, monkeypox, bird flu or any other future scam they try to play. We’ll never allow them to lock us down again.

Your news is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. Your numbers are showing!!! lol

The restaurant industry should end. It's too wasteful and not necessary.

No. Government overreach shrunk the restaurant industry.
