The 28-year-old native of the Dominican Republic is a hard-throwing left-hander who went 3-3 this past season with a 3.59 ERA.As for Petersen, who the Jays claimed: He made 16 total appearances this season between the Dodgers and Marlins. He went 3-1 with a 5.95 ERA. He had a 4.76 ERA for Miami in five appearances.
