Over the last four years, podcast listenership has grown with over 100 million people actively tuning into podcasts at least once a week in the US. “The traditional two-day conference is dead. People go begrudgingly and spend most of the time at the off-site supplementary events. When Gen-Z pays for an event they do so sparingly and with the specific intention of meeting net-new people of a high caliber. There is a disconnect between the conference throwers of today with the needs of their future attendees,” noted Madison McIlwain, co-host of The Room Podcast.
