EFF's policy stance of only appointing members with post matric- qualification

spokesperson Leigh-Ann Mathys, says that the party’s policy stance of only appointing members with post matric- qualification to its command council is based on the party’s quest for continuous improvement and growth.

She was speaking on the sidelines of the EFF’s elective conference where over 2 500- delegates will today nominate its top leadership at a conference in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.Mathys says that the issue of qualifications is expected to be the source of vigorous discussion. “I am sure that’s going to be one of the hot discussions in the committees, but we can’t say that we are an organisation that is advancing education, and within the organisation after 11- years, but we are still bringing in leaders that don’t have, and especially our leadership that we’ve deployed whether it’s to council, to legislatures, to parliament and now we have government positions as well- who are either working in our government offices as MMCs, there’s no excuse.

“The fact that education was denied to Africans during apartheid, tells you what an important thing it is, also just for the growth of not just South Africa, but our continent as well. So, we must start here,” she adds.
