Plus, creativity may be good for the bottom line, as the World Economic Forum highlights: “Between 2002 and 2015, the global market for creative goods – dominated by design, fashion and film – has more than doubled in size, from $208 billion to $509 billion.” Persuasion is a “critical soft skill because good ideas are not necessarily implemented merely because they are good ideas. Someone has to sell those good ideas, internally and externally. Being able to articulately explain your business case has the potential to be a real career builder. Your good ideas, coupled with a persuasive argument, can position you for greater responsibilities,” says Palmer.

Reality about creativity within corporations comes with terms attached. E.g. employees can be as creative they want as long as their creativity complies with manager’s views about goals and as long as it does not affect their perceived productive efficiency.

I would soften my skills for a CFO or A Director 😉
