Maybe if they looked after the domestic market

Aussies should know what happens when China doesn't or can't spend money. Don't be too proud of yourselves!

Australia’s seafood trade is a joke.. Feel every thing local over seas.. Then sell overseas crap here Makes no sense..

Stop exporting it and everyone in Australia will eat it 3-4 times a week for half the price instead of once a fortnight as it’s so expensive...problem solved.

Well, the more Australians that get to experience the dehumanising hell that is Centrelink, the better. The myth of the unemployed being lazy and drug addicts needs to end. And raise newstart!

Little sympathy for these companies when they turned their back on the Australian market and sold overseas for higher profits. Guess like the rest of us you have to take the good with the bad.

Maybe the oceans can replenish a little - Mother Nature can only have so much taken from her, before she turns on humans... 🧜🏾‍♀️

Get over yourself seafood industry. Like the mark up is not already astronomical. How about the coronavirus gives the sea time to replenish what everybody who likes seafood takes for granted. Just be happy you have not got the virus. Money worth nothing when you are dead.

bsadams25 I don't understand the logic of banning imports of seafood from Australia

How about sell it to Australians. It’s near impossible to find decent seafood in WA

Better prices for us then.

and in wa you can't buy a wa rock lobster only imported frozen ones.

Australia has great seafood that can be sourced locally. Let’s stop importing crappy seafood from overseas and get back to eating local seafood!

You reap what you sow

All Oz citizens would love to eat all the fabulous local products instead of the cheap shit offered in supermarkets. Just set a local price that pays the bills. In SA, prawns and crayfish would need no transport if consumers were told where to buy. That’s a free market.

The seawater clan..r having swimding party...they get to swim safely...

This is what happens when you concentrate your exports to just one region. auspol
