I used fewer than 14,000 points from my Chase Sapphire Reserve to get a Nintendo Switch Lite

Here are the two ways I came up with to use my Ultimate Rewards points to cover the cost of a Nintendo Switch and still get 1.5 cents per point on the redemption:

Buy the Nintendo Switch from a supercenter like Target or Walmart that codes as a grocery store purchase. Chase is temporarily coding purchases at some superstores like Target and Walmart that have full grocery stores as grocery purchases, so they show up in the Pay Yourself Back feature. It's definitely worth testing this out at your home location with a small purchase first to make sure that's the case.

Then, I casually refreshed the Best Buy page one afternoon, and there it was: the Nintendo Switch Lite, in turquoise, my favorite color. It was in stock.
