Why the key to career success is, surprisingly, to make yourself dispensable to your company, according to the CEO of travel giant Trivago

He also shared his top five tips for climbing the corporate ladder — and his most surprising piece of advice is to make yourself dispensable to your company. No matter where you are in your career, your ultimate goal should be to create something that works without you there. It's also important to understand that you can "only influence timing to a certain extent," he said.
