Musician Kris Lawrence has been transforming designer bags – such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci – into fashionable face masks and chest bags amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Lawrence, known as the “Philippines’ Prince of R&B,” has been buying the luxury bags and using the materials to create new products for his new business venture, he shared in an interview in ABS-CBN’s “Magandang Buhay” episode on Nov. 3.“What I do is bumibili ako ng mga luxury bags tapos sinisira ko. Tapos gumagawa ako ng mga face masks and bags, mga chest bags,” the singer explained.
Aside from earning extra income for his family, Lawrence noted that he was also able to give jobs to sewers who lost work during the lockdown.
