IPOH: A businesswoman found herself in hot water after her family’s company name was used to cheat people into purchasing roasted suckling pig, a dish that she no longer sells.

Fong Kah Leng, 42, said, the dish is popular during Chinese New Year, and she imports it from overseas, but due to lack of stock, she decided not to sell it this year.

“From then on, until today , I have been receiving calls from people who had purchased the dish via a Facebook account set up by the scammer, and several people also came to my house demanding for their orders, ” she told a press conference organised by state MCA Public Service and Complaints Bureau chief Low Guo Nan on Friday .

“Each time they come to my house, I have to show them the police report I made at the Bercham police station on Feb 17.
