“Ted Lasso” may be the biggest show to date on Apple TV Plus, but that may not mean much in the context of the SVOD service’s total user base. According to data, “Ted Lasso” ranked 89th overall among other top 10 hits across streaming platforms . As you would expect, “Ted Lasso” Season 2 continues to “lift viewership and engagement” for the series’ first season, according to Apple. The S2 debut also boosted viewership for comedies on Apple TV Plus like “Schmigadoon,” “Physical” and “Mythic Quest” from July 23-25, but the company didn’t quantify what that lift might have been.

Alongside Sudeikis, “Ted Lasso” stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed. Sarah Niles is set to join the cast this season as Sharon, a sports psychologist who has been brought in to work with AFC Richmond.
