The Hawks in the Free State says investigations are underway after anThe man was shot following a scuffle with security personnel. Several suspicious parcels have been seized from the suspect following the involvement of the Hawks and police’s bomb squad unit.

Police are also investigating a separate case after a Facebook user allegedly incited the public to burn the Lesedi FM offices. Hawks provincial spokesperson Christopher Singo says, “The suspect is at the hospital and under the guard of the police. From now on we are investigating this case. We are going to interview the suspect, but nothing was taken from the SABC and no one was hurt. It was only the suspect who was shot by one of the security officials. We are investigating this matter.”The suspect had also allegedly interfered with the broadcast satellites.

Singo says, “At this point nothing was taken inside the SABC. So it was just some news written on the walls but nothing was taken, no one was injured. No security guard was injured, it was only the suspect who was shot by one of the security officials. So we are investigating this matter at this point. So we will give all the details once we interview the suspect once the suspect is fine at the hospital.
