A new atmosphere has crept into Sydney real estate with the federal election less than six weeks away...

Mr Johnstone purchased his four-bedroom villa in St Mary’s in September last year through Ray White Owner and Selling Principal Peter Diamantidis of the Ray White Diamantidis Group for $610,000. “Despite being a Labor voter, I have to give the federal government credit for the five per cent deposit scheme. It helped first home buyers like myself get into the market when I initially brought the property,” Mr Johnstone said.

“I’d encourage whichever government that gets into power to think more about future developments and how building the infrastructure that can cater to the new communities we see in Western Sydney can bring about new jobs and help those in training learn whilst on the job.”Since Lindsay was first contested at the 1984 federal election, the seat has always elected a member of the government of the day – otherwise known as a bellwether seat – until the 2016 federal election.
