KOTA KINABALU: Entertainment centres like nightclubs, pubs and karaoke are among business activities that will be allowed to resume operations from May 15 in Sabah.

They were among the economic sectors which were previously in the prohibited list, said state Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

“However, the people of Sabah are advised to continue practising wearing face masks, like what they are doing now. “This is because the risk of sporadic infection remains high with 56.5% recorded today,” he said in a statement on Friday . Masidi had earlier said that while the state welcomed and will follow the easing of Covid-19 standard operating procedures announced at the national level, it will still be subject to adjustments when necessary, based on the situation in Sabah.
