University of Queensland School of Economics professor John Quiggin says that during the suspension the private generators would be paid “lavish compensation” for the losses they experienced during the suspension.that he believes the national grid should be operated by a government-owned body, calling the currently implemented alternative “unsustainable” and a “failed 1990s experiment”.
