Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, emphasised the significance of the role to be played by state governments in ensuring an enabling

environment for businesses to thrive in the country.

The SABER Program is a three-year performance-based intervention jointly designed by World Bank and PEBEC Secretariat with support from the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning and Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat. Osinbajo said: “For all who are charged with responsibilities at the state level, you have your work cut out for you.

Osinbajo noted that at the Federal level, it has been a major challenge “just trying to coordinate agencies and parastatals.”

Thank you Osinbajo for all you do for small businesses.

State governors really need to to learn to be responsible too. Just the other day, Gov. El-Rufai wrote to PMB due to the rate of insecurity in Kaduna State. What effort has he made on his own part as the governor? How about we start from there?

Pastor!!!! Why are you people shamelessly looting Nigeria to drops even in your last days? You plundered the resources in a most unthinkable manner.. from Tradermoni to Snake to Monkeys to Termites and over 18b for clearing bush then devalued the Naira and nurtured Insecurity

State govts are our problem, that is why we are where we are today, they frustrate the process. I hope when the SABER project kickstart, it won't be hijacked by hoodlum politicians/elites

Is it the states that produce next to nothing or those that serve as hubs for terrorist or those who deploy their youths for religious extremism, terrorism, rituals, political thuggery, or whose governors go cap in hand to Abuja to share oil money that will make business succeed?
