Just weeks after signing an agreement to purchase 4,500 electric vehicles for its home delivery fleet, Walmart has begun deploying the Canoo vans in Dallas-Fort Worth for deliveries to Walmart+ in-home service customers to test and tweak their configuration before an anticipated nationwide rollout in 2023.from Arkansas-based manufacturer Canoo with the option to purchase up to 10,000 units total.

The LDV is built on Canoo’s proprietary multi-purpose platform architecture that integrates the motor, battery module, critical driving components and a proprietary flat leaf spring suspension to enable more usable space for the cabin and cargo area. The LDV is engineered for high-frequency stop-and-go deliveries and rapid vehicle-to-door drop-off, including grocery and food/meal delivery, the company said.
