realDonaldTrump your tariffs are hurting the economy!

benshapiro Okay, that's less than I had expected....

benshapiro Companies don't 'pay' tariffs. Their customers do. YOU do.

benshapiro It's amazing that China having an industrial employment human rights problem has been spun into evil, evil trump and his tariffs lol Is that really the problem? Or can we agree if fair wages were paid in China they couldn't do what they do, and we could trade as usual.

benshapiro Gird your loins, men. This is war!

Tariffs = TrumpTaxes

benshapiro Finally someone with the balls to jamb it up China’s pooper for stealing from us

uh huh, and you assume it seems that readers are too stupid to allow they might have asked for a discount on the initial price being paid to the chinese by telling the chinese there are now tariffs

Well the people shouldnt have elected the morons that screwed up the import/export deals from the beginning!! Any idea what would have happened if the US stayed the course?

benshapiro We the people know there will be some pain to eliminate the made in China tags on everything we buy. We believe Americans and American manufacturers can make it at a reasonable cost. We want to see “Made in USA” again. If you elitist don’t, move to China!

benshapiro This is something that has to play out over time to see if it's a positive. Any speculation now, for or against, is a little early. In my opinion.

benshapiro Perhaps these people should try buying products made in the USA.

American companies should switch to American suppliers!

To all those replying in approval of this, have you actually read WHO is paying the tariffs? U.S. importers have and guess who they pass the additional cost on to? Having trouble figuring it out? Hint, check prices next time you shop at Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes etc etc

Addicts must feel the pain to change their behavior. It is for their own good and good of the country. Just got through celebrating life of GHWB. Have you already forgotten Country First, Sacrifice and all the other virtues?

Outstanding. Only President Trump understand the strength of USofA.

even the Chinese are feeling it much harder

This clown said his true intentions by calling himself the Tariff man, he wants the revenue to help offset his excessive spending (increased military funding & corporate tax cuts). He & his party were even trying to get a VAT passed. He wants consumers to pay higher for imports.

貿易戦争は、明らかに双方にとって益には成らない。

Short term pain for long term gain! ECON101

Trump- 'I didnt know we invited Kim Jong il? Who invited little man?' stateofconfusion

US/International business elites profited by transferring US wealth, jobs, intellectual property to China. We allowed China to undercut our manufacturing forcing closures here & importing of necessities from China. We need to make stuff here again at least for national security.

One just has to wonder if Trump or any of his family, friends or cronies shorted any stock prior to the Huawei accusations and arrest. Just wondering......

It always gets worse before it gets better... we just have to ride it out. This would never have happened if the trade deal from the beginning was fair to Americans.

Exactly! Because, in any case, it is not tariffs what we need. It’s a complete prohibition of any Chinese product!

So what about the fact about 3 days ago there are no more tariffs on china and same with U.S. from china? What about the fact nafta was replaced with a better deal? This article is a little late
