Here are seven top execs at the Palo Alto cloud computing company who have left this year and three who have joined it as it gets set to be acquired by Broadcom.

Broadcom Inc. CEO Hock Tan's reputation for cost-cutting reportedly has a number of top execs from VMware Inc. leaving ahead of its $61 billion acquisition by the semiconductor giant.

But a number of new executives have also joined the Palo Alto-based cloud computing company in advance of its purchase by San Jose-based Broadcom,Karen Egan, senior vice president of global support:that Egan, a VMware veteran of 15 years, is leaving on Sept. 30 to become a chief customer officer at an as-yet-undisclosed company. Mark Fitzgerald, a senior director of support, and Shekar Ganapathy, a vice president of sales and support, have taken over for Egan.
