AT&T California has named a new president to replace Rhonda Johnson, who was recently promoted.

Blakeman recently served as AT&T’s president for Mid-Atlantic states in external and legislative affairs, in which he managed the company’s policy and regulatory issues across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in political science and also received his certification in corporate community relations from the John Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College. Blakeman is also a Tony Award-nominated theater producer who started his own production company in 2015, investing in theater and film projects.

AT&T California's corporate offices are located at 140 New Montgomery St. in San Francisco, while its U.S. headquarters is located in Dallas. The company's stock has fallen about 17% since the beginning of the year.
