For many Malaysians, WhatsApp is part of life and a popular communication tool. It's so widely used that even local businesses use it to talk to customers. If you're in that gang, you should be interested in what WhatsApp Premium has to offer.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Premium is being rolled out to WhatsApp Beta on Android and iOS. As you can tell from the word 'premium', this is an optional subscription plan that's designed to provide special features to business accounts. WhatsApp Premium allows businesses to create a unique custom business link, which can direct customers to a landing page and initiate chat sessions.

For example, instead of memorising a phone number, customers can contact the business via a link like https://wa.me/mybusiness. As you can see, this is much more recognisable than a string of numbers. Premium subscribers can also link their business accounts to as many as 10 devices. That means businesses can have multiple customer service officers manage conversations with customers.

WhatsApp has yet to announce the subscription fee, so we'll have to wait for the beta to be completed. But what do you think about this premium service, would you subscribe to it? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
