Declining stock prices and a poor economic outlook has made the job of CEO unenviable this year.

The post pandemic era has been known for the Great Resignation as workers have left in droves to find new opportunities. And CEOs may just be part of the movement.of high level executives found that 70% were seriously considering leaving the job for one that better supports their well being. 50% responded that they were fed up enough to quit.

A worsening economic climate has raised the stake for both CEOs and their companies — and sometimes led to the realization that they really aren't right for each other anymore. While no major Bay Area CEO stepping down this year cited well-being as the reason for stepping down, there were more than a few dramatic departures this year.
