SquawkCNBC elerianm It is ridiculous to think you can break the co-dependence between stocks and monetary policy! If stocks are priced in dollars, they are inexorably linked.

elerianm I wonder if it occurs to anyone both how futile and stupid that is. The Fed's mandate is to effect both inflation and unemployment which the market is very interested in and affected by.

elerianm The markets have been thriving on the sugar rush from the high levels of cheap liquidity. This is the crash from that rush.
