The moon is cool again: It may be the next business frontier if properly monetized

The moon, if you are old enough to remember, used to be a pretty cool place.

Now, after decades out of the spotlight in the United States, the moon is cool again. Earlier this month, the first U.S. rocket ship scheduled to land on the moon in 50 years lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The business model for space exploration has changed, too. Private companies such as SpaceX, which own the spaceships, have replaced the old NASA cost-plus supplier arrangement with a supplier-friendly fixed-cost approach.

Bush and running through Barack Obama’s administration eschewedBut it is Mr. Musk who has ratcheted up the excitement with his big idea behind SpaceX: that someday Earthlings will colonize Mars. Thank you elonmusk for inspiring humanity to reach for the stars again!!!

Do. We. Like. Cell. Phones? EV cars? Rare earth minerals LITHIUM, CESIUM + H3. Hate strip mining the earth?! Then we strip mine our nearest cosmic dust crust -moon regolith.

Humans have done enough damage to this planet. We shouldn't be trying to ruin another.

The leaders of the free world should make a pledge now to not commodify any planet and name them all national parks.....There is no reason on the planet that millionaires should be larking about space and there's no reason for this.

It is already properly monetized.

NO

Ew no

NO.

Or maybe we should take a breath and think about not letting the same people who've destroyed the earth take their predatory and destructive ways to the moon
