The High Court in Durban has dismissed Optimum's application for an urgent interdict against the Richard's Bay Coal Terminal. The court said RBCT was entitled to suspend a deal with Optimum and was also right to worry about reputational risk.

Optimum Coal has lost a court bid to interdict the Richards Bay Coal Terminal from blocking its use of its export facilities.

Mpumalanga-based Optimum Coal Mine and Optimum Coal Terminal , which have been in business rescue for over five years, were also slapped with a costs order by the High Court in Durban.
