Australian golfer Cameron Smith is one of LIV Golf's biggest stars but admitted he was kept in the dark about the groundbreaking new merger between the Saudi-funded league, the PGA and DP World Tour.

Speaking ahead of the US Open in Los Angeles this week, Smith – who is one of LIV’s biggest stars – revealed he was kept in the dark like most of the golfing world.Cameron Smith still knows very little about the future of the merger between LIV Golf and the PGA and DP World Tour. Despite the call, Smith – who is the captain of LIV team The Rippers – still has very little idea about what the new entity will look like and how players from the breakaway league will be able to play in PGA and DP World Tour events. The new entity appears to have a lot left to work out in terms of its system and schedule but the three bodies have promised to work collaboratively to establish the “best feature and grow team golf going forward”.
