Infineon reported third-quarter revenue of USD4.47bil (RM20.3bil), up 13% from the same period last year.

Infineon, whose chips are used in cars and data centres, reported third-quarter revenue of €4.09bil , up 13% from the same period last year and slightly above expectations of €4.05bil in a company-provided consensus of analysts.

The planned expansion of the Kulim fab is backed by customer commitments covering about €5bil and €1bil in pre-payments, said Infineon, which pointed out that it would invest up to an additional €5bil over the next five years. — Reuters
