Down Hippie Lane at the Barras Market every Saturday and Sunday is a stall called happysaddesigns, run by Laura O'Hanlon - and it's a hit with shoppers from far and wide.

A Glasgow business owner, whose popular crafts feature some of 'Scottish patter's' most renowned one-liners, has told how her hysterical creations helped during some of her darkest moments.

"It started with earrings which friends and family really liked, then I got a bit of a social media following and it grew from there."From tote bags to coasters, and from drinks cups to earrings, Laura's sparkly, colourful designs have gone down a storm since she first set up shop at the Barras last October.

"The brand gets its name because it's happy things made by a sad person. Seeing shoppers come up to the stall, read the quotes, realise and then burst out laughing is just amazing.
