The court made an exception for times when a passenger hails a Riide taxi, then gets in and asks the driver to take them to the airport.

Popescul also ordered the airport authority to pursue its lawsuit against Riide “diligently.” If Riide decides the case isn’t being “pursued with appropriate promptness,” it can ask the court to terminate the injunction, the judge wrote.“Our preference would be to find a way to resolution. So far, we haven’t been able to do that,” Riide CEO Scott Suppes said in a Wednesday interview.

The airport authority said in a statement that it requires all commercial transportation operators to be licensed to ensure compliance with its “strict policies, standards, and regulations, including mandatory training,” and to remit fees back to the airport.

Riide opted not to participate in the program and has used the “public curb.” Four other taxicab companies are participating in the open licence program.
