Samsung Malaysia has quietly updated the product page of the newly launched Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) on its website, finally revealing the identity of the

onboard octa-core chip which it previously kept under wraps. With the cat now out of the bag, we now know that the component in question is actually the brand's own Exynos 2200 SoC, and not the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 that's featured on other versions of the phone for certain markets.

While it's been expected that the phone will feature a less powerful chipset than the mainstream trio, it is almost certain that this reveal has disappointed many. Given that numerous reports have found the Exynos 2200 to be underwhelming in terms of performance, it's not hard to see why fans prefere the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 instead.
