More than 2000 people have been reported dead since a 6.3 magnitude quake hit western Afghanistan on Saturday. As mourning relatives bury their loved ones, rescuers are still hoping they can find more survivors.

John M. O'Connor A restaurant on the site of a former troubled gentleman's club will finally be allowed to sell alcohol.

This establishment, owned and operated by Jack Ramu of Ramu Enterprises, is located at 14634 U.S. Highway 84 in Wicksburg. Teasers, a former adult entertainment club, used to occupy the building before it shuttered its doors two years ago after the club had a history of violence and criminal activity.In 2012, three people were shot and killed outside of the club. Ryan Clark Pedersen was found guilty of capital murder in 2016 and is currently on Death Row.

The third time was the charm as now Ramu's business has been approved to sell beer and wine. At last Thursday's administrative meeting, Dustin Fowler, Ramu's attorney, assured the commission that Ramu will run a family-friendly operation.
