It comes after the opening date for the new Central Library was recently confirmed.

Nottingham's former central library building on Angel Row will be going on the market again after plans for accommodation at the site fell through. After an opening date was confirmed for the new Central Library on Carrington Street, Nottingham City Council has now confirmed that the future of the previous facility remains uncertain.

With an opening date of November 28 now confirmed for the new site, plans will once again have to be considered for the Angel Row building. Councillor Steve Battlemuch, the portfolio holder for skills, growth, economic development and property, told the Local Democracy Reporting service earlier this week that developers behind the previous plans "did not come through with the money.

"We will be marketing the property again in the near future." Attempts to contact Crosslane Residential Living were unsuccessful and the company appears to have run into difficulty.
