PUTRAJAYA: The monthly RM200 Budi Madani cash assistance should be sufficient to off-set the increase in the price of diesel for most Malaysians, says Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.

He said the Budi Madani cash assistance will be implemented this Monday and involve some 30,000 diesel vehicle owners under the first batch of recipients.Amir Hamzah also said that there was no closing date for applications under the Budi Madani initiative.Wee: Budi Madani diesel subsidy scheme too stringent
Besides the Budi Madani cash assistance, he said that subsidised diesel would still be provided via fleet cards at RM2.15 per litre to eligible logistics vehicles to mitigate any effects on the prices of consumer goods.
