Scottish Water is set to host an event ahead of £2million investment.

The water company will host an information event for customers to learn more about the investment which will support the development and reduce the risk of sewer flooding in the town.

It will be held at Glenmavis Church Hall on Coatbridge Road on Tuesday, July 9, between 4.30pm and 7.30pm. Through its commercial subsidiary Scottish Water Horizons, the publicly-owned utility will begin installing nearly 500 metres of new pipework next month.Project manager John Andrew Kerr said: “As well as delivering benefits for existing customers, the project will support the development of the new Berryhill Village on Stirling Road.

“While we appreciate there will be some localised disruption while we deliver these much-needed improvements once completed the community will benefit for many years to come. “We will do all that we can to work with them from the very outset and would urge anyone with any questions to come along to the information event and talk to us.”Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
