The supermarket giant has been slammed for putting up its festive displays four months ahead of Christmas despite the country basking in 26C temperatures – they even have seasonal chocolates on offer

Christmas has come early at Morrisons , as the retail giant has embraced the festive season by launching their Yuletide chocolate range a whole four months before the big day. The supermarket chain has come under fire for putting up its Christmas displays while the nation is still enjoying 26C heat. Stores have already rolled out tempting offers on seasonal sweets, including a two-for-£1 deal on Reese's Trees and Maltesers Reindeers, usually priced at 75p each.

One disgruntled shopper said: 'It seems mad they are trying to lure people in with money saving deals,' they said. 'If they don't think shoppers will pay the full price, why put them on sale so early. It's bonkers.' The Christmas display isn't limited to discounted items, either – it also features full-priced festive treats including Morrisons' own The Best pack of nine mince pies for £2.75, a rich and fruity Christmas pudding priced at £2.
