More than 700 German companies operating factories and exporting goods worldwide are now contributing to Malaysia's economy. The Malaysian Ambassador to Germany, Datin Paduka Dr. Adina Kamarudin, revealed that Malaysia is Germany's largest trading partner in the ASEAN region and has also become its largest trading partner among European Union (EU) countries.

PETALING JAYA: Lebih 700 buah syarikat Jerman yang menjalankan operasi kilang pengeluaran dan mengeksport barangan ke seluruh dunia, kini menyumbang kepada ekonomi Malaysia.

“Pada 2023, Jerman merupakan rakan dagangan global ke-13, destinasi eksport ke-14 dan sumber import ke-11 terbesar Malaysia. Jumlah nilai perdagangan antara dua negara ini berjumlah USD13.90 bilion ,” katanya dalam kenyataan media Majlis Agama Islam Dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis , hari ini. Kenyataan itu turut memaklumkan, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra dan Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil berangkat ke Berlin bagi menghadiri ‘InnoTrans 2024’ di Messe Berlin sempena pemeteraian perjanjian persefahaman antara Dhaya Maju Infrastructure Sdn. Bhd. dengan Siemens Mobility Sdn. Bhd..
