South Africans add their voice to the national dialogue

The South African flag flies high as thousands of people gathered at the Union Buildings for the Heritage Day celebrations.Lack of leadership and implementation should be high on the agenda of the much-awaited inaugural sitting of the National Dialogue scheduled for mid-December.

“The first sitting of the National Dialogue will be on the 16th of December, that will be the inaugural meeting in terms of the proposal. So, we felt that the sooner the Cabinet discusses the matter, the better. But the real dialogue is proposed for next year.

“At the heart of most of the country’s failures over the past of 30 years, has been lack of implementation. Whether you talking about implementation of policies, whether you think about implementing the NDP or the recommendations of our landmark commissions. So, implementation has been a weak point in our country. But because implementation has failed does not mean that we must stop talking how to make implementation to work and that for me is part of this dialogue should be about.
