A fabrication business in Perth’s northern suburbs has been fined $250,000 after a worker sustained severe facial injuries when working with titanium. The incident occurred in May 2021 when the worker was asked to 'bump bend' a piece of 12mm-thick titanium, resulting in 47 facial fractures, a 15cm cut, and permanent eye damage.
