Economic Freedom Fighters Secretary-General Marshall Dlamini says the political report to be read out by Party President Julius Malema will reflect the challenges faced by the party. The party’s political report comes at a time when some of the party’s former top leaders, like Floyd Shivambu and Dali Mpofu, left the EFF to join the MK Party, led by Jacob Zuma.Dlamini says the report will be an honest reflection of the party’s performance over the last five years.
“Our constitution demands of us that we must self-criticize, we must not boast on empty and useless achievements, where we have not done correctly that is going to be the issue, our challenges. We must not try and hide them and try to sweep them under the carpet. Because then we are misleading ourselves, we have to be honest and say we had challenges, there are areas we did not do as we had planned.
Dlamini was responding to a question on whether the party’s former spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi would be contesting any leadership position. His comments come amid speculation of Ndlozi’s future in the EFF, despite Malema declaring that Ndlozi is still a member of the party in good standing. “This NPA is going to prove that no one is bigger than this organisation…. You are a member; you know what is expected. I am not going to entertain any name. I have 2500 delegates that are here. And then it starts and ends there. We are going to humbly ask that let’s move in that way.”
