Trout producer SanLei, which is located on the shores of the Katse Dam in the remote highlands of Lesotho, is known for its deep, pristine waters and highly favourable environment for farming trout. It is the first farm and hatchery to achieve the Best Aquaculture Practices certification in the Kingdom of Lesotho and in Southern Africa.today toured Katse Dam, a pivotal part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project that plays a crucial role in regional water supply and energy production.The deep, pristine water provides a near-perfect environment for growing premium trout, which has become a delicacy for many South Africans, Europeans, and, of late, the US.
