It's a new, alarming wrinkle among politically right-leaning tech moguls to use words like patriotism and traitors about their competitors.

Palantir cofounder Joe Lonsdale has doubled down on the controversial statements made by his mentor and cofounder, Peter Thiel, by saying Google is unpatriotic and implying that Google is committing treason. At issue is the the fact that Google won't sell AI tech to the US military but it does have an AI research facility in China. President Trump quickly responded with a tweet saying his administration would look into Google.

It’s hilarious to think anybody believes that any large company is patriotic.

🤫 Palantir has thwarted various planned terrorist attacks against the US. You forgot to mention that. Middlebrow philistines like Julie188 don't realize they are painting themselves into a little corner called 'only deplorable right wingers care about the security of the US'.

That comment was due for years. ... and it goes for both Google Executives and employees also. The least Patriotic Company in America.

What's unpatriotic about an illegal trust that works with autocracies around the world?

Everyone is planning to short sell Google it looks like

'Companies' aren't ever patriotic. If someone is claiming their company is, they're lying. Just the thought is idiotic. Palantir is not patriotic either, no for profit is or should be, but it also should not abuse the laws and ethics But is it a fraudulent company? Because they do sell this 💩 to investors as ownership instruments.

Ted Cruz confronts Google with an internal presentation showing how tech companies are leaning toward censorshipGoogle VP of policy Karan Bhatia started sweating early as hearing chair Ted Cruz brings out an internal presentation created within the company. Then we have the Tweeter in Chief leaning towards “all racism, all the time”. Which do you choose, and why? The problem for Ted Cruz is when an algorithm tries to limit hate speech, it tends to censor Republicans more than Democrats. That's probably because Republicans lean more towards hate than your average Democrat. Rafael needs to go back to his own country.
