From Shoprite to the Reserve Bank, to Toyota: Some of the companies whose bursaries are open

Several companies and organisations from various sectors have begun taking applications for the 2023 academic year.

While most will continue to take applications until spring, some close as early as the end of July. Here's a list of bursaries available, including some in the retail, mining, manufacturing, arts, and medical fields.The grocery retail chain Shoprite offers all-inclusive bursaries for degrees across various fields, including accounting, IT, UI Design, food science, and others.

The group will employ recipients of Shoprite's bursaries following graduation under a work-back agreement.E-commerce : Second and third-yearLogistics and Supply Chain: Third and fourth-yearRetail Business Management: First, second, and third-yearMust be a South African Citizen and be 27 or younger. Must be a high-performing student with an average of 65%.

Its bursaries include tuition fees, private or campus accommodation allowance, laptop and personal allowances, and a textbook allowance. The company's medical aid scheme is available for recipients of the bursaries; they may remain on a parent’s or guardians’ medical aid, but will be required to submit proof.

The bursary includes registration fees, tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, support in the form of study assistance, and aids where required. Students can apply for the bursary on the
