PETALING JAYA: The offshore company domiciled in tax haven Malta — which PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli claims to have links with the littoral combat ship (LCS) scandal — is no longer active.

According to data from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists’ Paradise Papers, which was based on Malta's Corporate Registry, the company was incorporated on Apr 18, 2011.The Paradise Papers are a set of data dumps containing over 13 million confidential electronic documents relating to offshore investments released in 2017.The data showed that the offshore company was linked to a Malaysian woman, who was named as its shareholder.

“The appointment was based on fake information that it had the licence from the French government to export defence spare parts ,” he said.
