Opinion | We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to fix our labor market

Every Democrat since Bill Clinton has used “skills training” rhetoric to get elected. Then nothing changes. Maybe the problem goes deeper.

The President has already been working on this for the last two years. We currently have about 400,000 people participating in paid apprenticeship programs, and the President has pledges for many, many more. Why hasn't this been covered by the Press?

Yes, structural adjustments to the labor market are highly needed right now. Step 1: Abolish the myth of the skills gap.
