The iconic San Pedro Fish Market opened its new temporary spot dubbed the “Landing” on Friday, May 5.

The San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant is back in business — though a permanent home is still a ways off.

San Pedro Fish Market is open at its’ new location, just a few hundred yards from the original location, in San Pedro on Friday, May 5, 2023. The restaurant, which operated at Ports O’ Call Village closed March 3 and in record time opened this temporary location. Eventually the Fish Market, will have a home at the West Harbor Los Angeles Waterfront Development.

On the restaurant’s last day, folks lined up to carry platters heaped high with fresh fish to the familiar outdoor bench-seat tables at the edge of San Pedro’s shipping channel. Fish Market officials have been working with West Harbor’s developers, the Port of Long Beach and local elected representatives to have a
