For the first time since NASA shot rockets from Arnhem Land last year, a remote Northern Territory site is looking to fire up again for more launches.

abc.net.au/news/nt-arnhem-land-rockets-ela-contract-south-korean-innospace/102740766A South Korean space company could soon by shooting orbital rockets from the remote Northern Territory, with the first launch scheduled to take place by early 2025.

"The agreement will see the launch of several INNOSPACE rocket variants each carrying between 50kg and 500kg payloads into low earth orbit from the ASC across a five-year timeframe until December 2028," the company said in a statement. "Last year's three successful launches with NASA allowed us to showcase the skill and capabilities of both the ELA team and the Arnhem Space Centre to the world," Mr Jones said.INNOSPACE markets itself as a "space company that develops small satellite launch vehicles with hybrid rocket technology and provides launch services … that transport small satellites quickly and stably into space".

Earlier this year, ELA signed a contract with a US firm, Phantom Space Corporation, to collaborate on missions from the centre.
